TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Matthew 19:16-26 TODAY'S RHEMA Matthew 19:26 Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
"It's so early in the morning, and you're already daydreaming," Jeremy startled Mr. Lee. Each morning, Jeremy who worked as a room boy at a luxurious hotel, always came to Mr. Lee's food stall. Not only was the food good, but Mr. Lee always generously gave Jeremy a lot of potatoes and dishes. Mr. Lee knew that Jeremy was a mere young man with a minimum income. While talking to each other, Jeremy found out that Mr. Lee was concerned about his son's tuition fees. The income he got from his food stall was insufficient to cover his family needs. Still, Mr. Lee put his hope on the Lord and worked hard to make ends meet.
That afternoon, Mr. Lee's food stall had several customers who got a recommendation from Jeremy. One of the customers happened to be a government official whose daughter was going to marry soon. The government official's wife really liked Mr. Lee's cooking, and the couple decided to order some food for their daughter's wedding. Mr. Lee gladly accepted the offer. Long story short, because of the wedding, Mr. Lee's cooking gained a positive reputation. His food stall became successful. He no longer was experiencing a shortage to meet the financial needs of his family.
For those who have worked hard and diligently done their best, God will bless him accordingly and fairly. This is called natural harvest, reaping from what one has persistently sowed through effort and hard work. However, there is another blessing that is called supernatural harvest. This reaping far outweighs our human effort; it is done supernaturally through the work of the Holy Spirit. We can never imagine or know how it is done exactly. Whatever struggles or challenges we are facing, we shall not be afraid. Give thanks at all times. Let us boldly put our hope in Christ Jesus. Receive God's promise for our lives with great faith. Do our part, and God will do His part. He will take us to a higher level so that we can enjoy an even bigger miraculous harvest in our lives. What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived, God has prepared for those who love him (1 Cor. 2:9). REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, God will bless you with NATURAL HARVEST, but He will also shower you with SUPERNATURAL HARVEST. APPLICATIONS 1. What blessings have you received in return of your effort and hard work? 2. What makes you believe that you can experience a supernatural harvest in your life? 3. When you experience miraculous harvest, what will you do? TODAY'S PRAYER "Thank you, Jesus, for your new mercies every morning. I don't know what I will be facing today. Holy Spirit, I will let you lead my way. Be with me and help me in every action I take and every decision I make. With you, Holy Spirit, I know that I am safely guarded in the right direction, and at the right time, I will reap the greater harvest, even supernatural harvest because of your work. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
