TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Acts 2:41-47 TODAY'S RHEMA Acts 2:42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
A computer sales and repair shop advertised a job vacancy for people who are qualified in sales. The owner started interviewing those who applied. One day, into his office, came a man who clearly came from a very remote area. He wore jeans and plaid woolen clothes but somehow managed to find a tie somewhere in his wardrobe. "Sir," he said earnestly after shaking the owner's hand, "I will try hard to work in your company." The owner explained that he was looking for someone who was experienced in the computer field, but against every argument put forward by the owner, he replied, "I think I can learn it. I will try hard."
The owner decided to give the young man a month to prove himself. The opportunity was not wasted by the young man. After several days of training, he made a note on his desk: "Have to call fifteen people today. Must sell two systems this week. You have to get 20 million a month." After six months, he did not approach his goals at all. In fact, he actually sold nine systems in just fourteen days, and he earned more than 900 million commissions in his first six months!
Every opportunity that comes, when taken seriously, will bring enormous blessings to our lives. These days are the time of God's mighty visitation. We must respond to this Lord's visit by persevering and daring to pay the price. Persevere and pay the price in our prayers, persevere and pay the price in the Word, persevere and pay the price in winning the lost, and so on. When we respond to this God's visitation opportunity by persevering and paying the price, then we will definitely experience a great gift from God.
