TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL 1 Peter 2:1-16 TODAY'S RHEMA 1 Peter 2:12 Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.
An evangelist is scheduled to speak at a one-day conference in the church. But, he forgot to set the alarm and wake up late. In an effort to catch up on time, he scratched himself while shaving. Then he found his shirt crumpled and scorched it from ironing while making breakfast. Things got worse when he found a flat tire. While time is running low, he managed to replace the tire and drove to the highway. If he hurried, he might only be a few minutes late for the first session. He raced across the city, saw forbidden signs and breached it. Because of this action, a police officer stopped him. Jumping out of the car, the evangelist cursed and said sharply, "Come on, just fine me, everything is chaotic today." The police calmly responded, "I used to have days like that before I became a Christian."
Sometimes, like the evangelist, we forget that before doing what God entrusts, first, we need to tend our way of life. Because, more than our service assignments, it is our attitude to life that others value. If our lives are not right, we can become a stumbling block.
By keeping holiness alive and doing a lot of goodness, we are not only obeying the word of God but also closing the gap for the devil to bring down the credibility of God's children. Thus we prepare ourselves as His harvesters at the end of time. Therefore, draw close to God. Build a good prayer life, so that our lives could produce good and righteous fruits. When the time of God's visit arrives, we are ready and God will entrust us with a bigger part of the great harvest that He has planned. We are no longer just children, but God raises us to a higher level, namely His co-workers REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, PREPARE YOURSELF for the great harvest of souls, because GOD'S VISITATION will bring A MASSIVE HARVEST OF SOULS. APPLICATIONS 1. In your opinion are you ready for God's visitation to the souls? Why? 2. Why do you need to prepare yourself for the great harvest of souls? 3. How can you prepare yourself as good as possible? TODAY'S PRAYER "Good Father, thank you for the salvation. I want to take part in Your great visitation to this nation, Father. Prepare my heart and my life, so that I can be used as your harvesters at the end of this time. In the name of the Lord Jesus, I pray. Amen."
