TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL 2 Chronicles 15: 1-19 TODAY'S RHEMA 2 Chronicles 15:8 " And when Asa heard these words and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and removed the abominable idols from all the land of Judah and Benjamin and from all cities which he had taken in the mountains of Ephraim; and he restored the altar of the LORD that was before the vestibule of the LORD."
"It seems I have sensed a wrong vision from God, " said Marry to her cell group's leader. "I have done everything with all that I have, I also prayed and put my hope in Him but no matter how many things I did, I failed even more. I'm like a coward. I can't stand this anymore!" Hearing this, the leader patted on Marry's shoulder and said, "Hey, you are more than a winner! You are the eagle of God! Strengthen your heart, don't let your spirit weaken because there's a reward for every of your struggle!"
The same words had even been prophesied by prophet Azariah to King Asa (verse 7). In fact, if we take a look at the previous chapter, Asa had just experienced a great winning in a battle over Ethiopians with the help of God. It is also told that from the beginning of his reign, he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD as David. He banished the perverted persons from the land and removed all the idols that his fathers had made. However, the restoration he did was too hard to do. There were some things he could do nothing about. Perhaps, it's because of the effect of his grandmother, Maachah, who still worshipped idols. That's the reason why God sent to raise Asa's faith so that he will be courageous to accomplish what he had started for God.
In passing through our life's journey, we sometimes face complicated challenges. It's like a high mountain which impossible for us to conquer. It may make us desperate. In such kind of moment, we need prophetic words which light up our spirit. Prophetic word from God has more power than motivated words. When it's declared, it can burn out all doubts, push the listeners to step forward bravely so that we can enter into the powerful move of God and do great things with Him. REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, PROPHETIC WORDS have the power to STRENGTHEN those who hear so that you're able TO TAKE ACTION FAITHFULLY. APPLICATIONS 1. Why do prophetic words have the power to strengthen those who hear? 2. Why do you need to speak prophetic words? 3. How is your way in speaking prophetic words into your life and others'? TODAY'S PRAYER "My good Father, thank You for the power and anointing You have given to me as Your child. Teach me Holy Spirit to be able to use that power and put Your words into my tongue also mouth in the purpose that I learn to prophesy as Your will. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
