In his evangelistic journey in Asia in 1962, the sailboat Charles Doss was on, huddled by the storm. The months of September and October were indeed quite prone to storms in the Southeast Asian region. Meanwhile, the sailboat was small and old. Two years before the incident, the boat should no longer be used. When the storm raged, the ship was swaying so violently. The nine passengers couldn't do anything because the ship could sink at any time.
At that time, Charles Doss lifted an authoritative prayer to stop the storm. He left the cabin, opened the door to the deck. He wrestled through a pool of water that had filled the whole deck. There were many poisonous snakes and various sea animals crawling on the deck. Staggering with the shock of a great ship, Doss tried to reach the fence. The ship captain who saw him thought that the pastor was mad and would commit suicide. But, arriving at the fence of the ship, Doss stood firm. After taking a deep breath, he ordered that the storm be calm. Doss did what Jesus had done in the face of a sea storm. Miracles happened. The storm subsided and the sea became very calm. In fact, it usually takes two to three days to be calm again. Mysterious natural changes that made the captain of the ship suspect that Doss did magic and magical powers. After docked in the Philippines, Doss testified of Christ and the captain and other crew members believed in Jesus.
Preaching the gospel accompanied by power and miracles is a very effective way to save souls. When they see the manifestation of the power of God revealed through the preaching of Jesus that we convey, it is clear evidence for them that God in the name of the Lord Jesus is indeed the God of power. During this awesome tour of God, move with the power and miracle of God, so we will experience a great harvest of souls.
