TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL 2 Kings 3:1-20 RHEMA HARI INI 2 Raja-Raja 3:16-17 and he said, "This is what the LORD says: I will fill this valley with pools of water. For this is what the LORD says: You will see neither wind nor rain, yet this valley will be filled with water, and you, your cattle and your other animals will drink.
One time, Jehoshaphat (the king of Judah), Joram (the king of Israel), and the king of Edom set out in a battle against the king of Moab. After a roundabout march of seven days in the Desert of Edom, the army had no more water for themselves. They were very weak from exhaustion and extreme thirst. Joram whined and blamed the Lord, while Jehoshaphat showed a different response. He sought after the Lord's guidance and went to ask Elisha the prophet.
The Lord instructed them to make a valley full of trenches, and He promised to fill the valley with water. The kings could have thought, what purpose would a valley serve if there was neither rain nor wind. Even though they did not know how water could fill the valley, they chose to obey the Lord and built the valley. The next morning, lo and behold, water came by the way of Edom, and the country was filled with water. The Lord fulfilled His promises. Yes, it was not hard for the Lord to provide them with overflowing water. When they trusted and obeyed the Lord, The Lord fulfilled His part and blessed them abundantly.
The same principle applies to our lives. When we are faced with a challenge that has not yet seen a breakthrough, do not give up. The Lord is waiting for us to prepare a valley, which is our heart. Do not expect blessings to come if we are not willing to prepare the valley. How can the Lord shower us with His blessings if we have not prepared a place to contain those blessings? Trust in the Lord, even in times of drought, in aspects of health, finance, and even spiritual wellness; seek His Rhema of everlasting words. Hold it tight, trust in it, and do the Rhema we receive from the Lord in every step of our lives, then the Lord's miraculous help will come forth. The Lord will give us his overflowing harvest, meaning that He will bring us to an even higher level. REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, The Lord will not send OVERFLOWING HARVEST before you prepare containers to contain it. APPLICATIONS 1. How ready are you to prepare your containers (valleys) to contain God's blessings? 2. Are there things that prevent you from preparing your containers (valleys) to contain God's blessings? What are those? 3. What are the things that you are preparing to wait upon the season of overflowing harvest in your life? TODAY'S PRAYER "Lord Jesus, thank you for preparing overflowing blessings for me. I am going to prepare a valley to contain every harvest that you will shower us with. I trust that you have an overflowing harvest for me. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
