TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL
Isaiah 55: 1-13
TODAY'S RHEMA
Isaiah 55:8-9 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts."
It's an illustration to ponder. There was a boy named Jojo. On his 5th birthday, his father gave him a bike. At first, Jojo felt so happy but then his happiness turned into sadness because he hadn't been able to ride the bike. Jojo's father smiled and took him out. Jojo brought his bike slowly and tried to ride it. He was afraid, but then his father held the bike from behind. Jojo believed to his father, no matter how the road he had to pass, his father would always uphold him. He also believed what his father said, where to turn and to stop. After paddling for sometimes, Jojo didn't realize that although his father kept following him from behind, he didn't hold it anymore. When the dust came, Jojo was happy because he had been able to ride a bike and successfully passed a long road. The most important thing was he did it with his father.
We should have the same attitude in our hearts, that we always rely on and trust God. As the believers who walk with God, we must have a different lifestyle than those who aren't. People who do not walk with God live for flesh. They walk by sight, thinking and pursuing worldly things, separating from God's love and power also being enslaved by world spirits. They chase their own vision and ambition. On the contrary, when we walk with God, we will live by faith, thinking heavenly things and having the desire to please God. The Holy Spirit guides our life and gives us the vision to build the Kingdom of God.
To walk with God wholeheartedly, we must know His Word first. We can do some ways to do it, such as: listening to Audio Bible and reading daily devotional. Drawing ourselves into His presence by praising and worshiping through Worship Audio. As we more understand about the Word of God, we will keep walking on the straight path instead of turning to the right or to the left.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, the lifestyle of believers WALKING WITH GOD is different from THOSE WHO DON'T. APPLICATION What would you do to walk with God today?
TODAY'S PRAYER "Father, thank You for walking with me through sorrow and joy. Guide me in every way of my life so that I will always set my face on You. In the name of Lord Jesus, I pray. Amen.
