TODAY'S RHEMA Hebrew 11: 1 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
A real testimony based on true story. There lives a woman butcher named Bini. She lives in a village named Bejen, Kaliwungu, Semarang. One day, she felt a pain in her stomach so she ran a hand over it and found something strange. The day after, she was led by her family to a hospital in Solo that had complete facilities. From the USG's result, they found that there was a tumor. However, she had no money to do the surgery. She then came home. The condition worsened, her belly's getting bigger like 9 months pregnant woman. One night, an American missionary came to her village and visit her. Denish shared with her that the only way to receive salvation is through Christ Jesus and His magical power could give a miracle of healing. Back then, Bini accepted Jesus and believed in the healing. The next morning at 5 am, she went to the restroom to urinate. It smelled so bad and the color was as dark as coffee. Her big belly got gradually deflated. Soon after, she got checked up in a hospital and found that the tumor had gone.
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." This verse says that in order to have faith, people don't have to see things physically. Faith is born when we put our hope in God. Humanly thinking, what we expect might not happen, but, we put our faith that God is able. At last, just like what have been experienced by Bini, our faith could be the key that releases God's power and brings out the miracles of God. Not only experiencing it, but faith can also get us to be used by God, such as the missionary doing the miracle.
