TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL
Galatians 3:1-5
TODAY'S RHEMA Galatians 3:3 "Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh?"
A grafted branch cannot produce fruits immediately. There's a process that must be passed until the branch can stick with the vine, then it can produce fruits. Doesn't it remind us to one the parable in the Bible? We might often hear a sermon about the True Vine (John 15:1-8). The parable explains that every branch cannot bear fruit by itself, it must remain in the vine. Jesus explained himself as the vine and we are the branches. To bear fruit in our life, we must stick with God until we become one with Him.
As the process, be united with God cannot happen immediately. In the beginning when we had the love at first, maybe we can easily communicate with Him. Then we begin to get rid of every bad habit. But, as the time goes by, our attention begins to be distracted by the things in the world. We don't realize that we begin to forsake our times with Him. In the end, our flesh begins to control ourselves again, and we become away from God.
Sometimes, to only have desire is not enough. We need a commitment to be in union with God. The commitment will push us to interact with Him constantly every day through prayer, praise, and worship. Let the Holy Spirit process you until you can be united with Him. Follow the process constantly until you permanently abide Him and cannot be separated forever. Never run from the process. Never waste what God has provided for your life. If you are united with Him, then He can manifest Himself in your life. You will bear a lot of fruits for His glory.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, take commitment to be in union with Him, so He can fully manifest Himself through your life. APPLICATION 1. Have you been in union with the Holy Spirit? Does He manifest Himself in your life every day? 2. Have you engaged Him in your daily life? 3. What kind of commitment could you take to be united with Him?
TODAY'S PRAYER "God, thank you for the Holy Spirit. Take me deeper in You, until I am united with you and cannot be separated anymore. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen."
