TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL
John 15: 1-8
TODAY'S RHEMA John 15: 5 "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.''
When you spread the seeds of chili on the ground, in few days, you will find some small buds out from the soil. Those buds are planted firmly and grow bigger each day. But, let's do an experiment. Try to root it up at night and plant it back in the morning, what will happen? Is it wilted or still alive? It may be okay at first, but if it's done repeatedly, can you guarantee that the chili plant keeps fresh and bears fruits? Of course not. That chili plant will surely die. Why does it happen? It's because the chili plant isn't planted well and it doesn't get any nutrition from the soil because the root is not firm. That's the reason why the chili plant can't grow maximally.
Have you realized that our Christian life with God can be the same as the parable above? We can't be like the chili plant, to be planted and uprooted. It will distract our spiritual growth then lead it to be wilted and dry. This condition makes difficult for you to keep your inner man alive even bear fruits.
Therefore, God wants us to remain and have an intimate union with Him. He loves you so much that He supplies the living water for your inner man in order that you keep growing and bear many fruits. To remain in Him, you need to make your silent time with Him better each day. You may use the provided facilities, such as daily devotional, listening to Audio Worship and Audio Bible.
