TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL
Genesis 5:21-24
TODAY'S RHEMA Genesis 5:24 "Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away."
Enoch was one of two Bible figures who never died. He was taken to the heaven without dying. It shows how special his personality was in the eyes of the Lord. At first, he lived his life just like common people until he reached 60. After he begot Methuselah, he started to have an intimate life with God. It was not regular intimacy and it was not a short time. The Bible recorded that Enoch spent for 300 years to have an intimate life with God. How marvelous it was !! God made him the man after His heart and Enoch also felt satisfaction from his intimacy with God.
When we have a close relationship with somebody, slowly the mindset and character of this man influencing us and it made Enoch became like God since he was deeply closed with Him and no wonder God lifted him up to heaven. God wants us to have a desire to be close to Him even more. It depends on our response towards His desire. When we are willing to have more intimacy with Him, God will be so pleased to welcome us.
We must leave our old habits and have more devotional time. Read the Bible, get His rhema and do what He says in our daily lives. Surely our life will be overwhelmed by God's favor and Holy Spirit will bring us to experience beautiful times with God. Amen. REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, the key to PLEASING GOD'S HEART is to HAVE INTIMACY WITH HIM. APPLICATION 1. How do you have a pleasing and intimate life with God? 2. What are things that hinder you from having an intimate relationship with God? 3. What things can you do to tight your relationship with God?
TODAY'S PRAYER "God, I am longing to live intimately with You. Help me to overcome all the hindrances. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen"
