TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Luke 10:38-42
TODAY'S RHEMA
Luke 10:41-42 "Martha, Martha," the Lord answered, "you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her."
We ought to carry our responsibility accordingly each day because God never intended us to be lazy. However, some people have become workaholic and spend the most of their time to work and left no time for God. This is what happened to Martha, Mary's and Lazarus's sister. One day, Jesus and His disciples paid a visit to her home in Bethany. With full of excitement, Martha welcomed them and started to prepare all things as a good host. She prepared jars of waters for her guest to clean their feet and hands, prepared for them drinks and foods.
The people nearby heard that Jesus came to Martha's home and they started to crowd the place. While Martha caught in her busyness, she realized that Mary was already sat at Jesus' feet listening to his teaching. Martha complained to Jesus about it but he replied that Martha was keeping herself busy with a lot of things. With this saying, Martha wasn't in the wrong place to prepare all things like what she did. Jesus understood that all those were needed but Jesus told Martha that she just needed to do what is necessary, just like Mary did. Because more than what Martha could do for Jesus, He longed for her to come to Him even more.
Just like the story of Martha, our busyness could take us away from the presence of God. Whatever reason or motivation that keeps us in busyness, we will lose the most important part of life if we aren't careful in managing our time because the presence of God can't be found in the chaos. Learn to cast your cares and anxiety to God, seek His face before you start your day because when we put Him first before all things he will lead us into success and our His joy in our heart.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, caught in busyness with God should be your foundation so that you become productive and experience a breakthrough.

"God forgive me for being too busy and too much distracted so I can't have time with You. I want to make new commitment to seek Your face and be drowned in Your presence. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen."
