TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL

2 Kings 4:1-7

TODAY'S RHEMA
2 Kings 4:6 "When all the jars were full, she said to her son, "Bring me another one." But he replied, "There is not a jar left." Then the oil stopped flowing."
A widow was indebted and couldn't pay for the loan anymore. The debt collector was planning to take her two daughter and sell them to slavery. Hurried, she came to Elisha to seek for God's help. She said to Elisha that she didn't have anything left but a small jar of precious oil. Elisha then asked her to prepare as many jars as possible and pour the oil she had into the jars she prepared. She did exactly like what Elisha had instructed her to. Miracle happened. As she pour the oil into one jar, it wouldn't run out until she had finished filling all of the jars with it.

The Bible didn't record how many jars the widow had prepared, but one thing we could see here is that: God performed the miracle according to what she had prepared. What does it mean? It means that God did miracle according to the vision of this widow. God could do even more than what the widow had received but once again, He did according to what she had envisioned, according to her faith.

From the story of the widow, we could learn that we should also adopt that kind of faith. To have big vision and faith to receive more. Because that is the desire of God, to bless us. Let us prepare "the big and many jars" for God to pour His blessing and power. Prepare as many "empty jars" as possible. Not only for one aspect of life but all aspects; health, finance, job, social, education, etc. However many jars we can provide for God to fill, that many jars God would fill also.

REFLECTION
Saudara Terkasih, what you can see through your spiritual eyes is what you will be receiving.

APPLICATION
  1. Have you had a vision with a great faith? What is the reason behind that?
  2. What is the correlation between the vision you have and the transformation you will be experiencing?
  3. What do you do to enlarge the broadness of your faith?
TODAY'S PRAYER
"Father God, teach me to enlarge my vision. I long to be able to experience spiritual transformation in every aspect of my life. In the Name of Lord Jesus, I pray. Amen."
