TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL
Luke 5:12-32
TODAY'S RHEMA
Luke 5:15-16 "Yet the news about him spread all the more, so that crowds of people came to hear him and to be healed of their sicknesses. But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed."
Drawing ourselves from the society does not mean bad at all. True, God wants us to live by caring each other in love. When Jesus lived in the world and was still doing His ministry, He had busy days with so many people to serve. But, the bible also noted times when Jesus could draw Himself back just to get all alone. Would that mean Jesus did not care about them? No, on the contrary Jesus loved them so much, but because Jesus understood that He was only a human at that time whose capacity will not be able to serve so many people by His own strength alone, He needed to pray and to rely on God the Father and Holy Spirit to get the capacity He needed. By being alone He was able to make a good communion with God the Father to get His strength.
Jesus knew, that in order to live according to Father's will, He had to make personal devotion regularly, just to pray to God the Father alone with no disturbance from anyone. From the communion with God the Father, Jesus received tremendous strength to serve a lot of people and also to face the opposition from His foes with joy. We could read in the Bible that after Jesus spent times with God, He received power and wisdom that exceeds the wisdom of man. In that manner, He could make Himself available for many people, heal them, conduct many miracles and also finish His works on earth.
We shall learn from the habit of Jesus, and to know what is the most important things for us to do. Our relationship with others is important as together with the people God has placed around us, we can listen, strengthen, entertain, and help each other, and we can also share each other's burden as well. Even though that is also beautiful in His sight, still, do not lose your time you should set aside for God alone, because only God understands completely what is in your heart and only God can give entertainment, strength and help no others can give. When the presence of God fulfills our life, then we can enjoy a life with a clear purpose and experience great things together with Him on our side.
REFLECTION
Saudara Terkasih, learn TO DRAW YOURSELF AWAY FROM OTHER PEOPLE to be able TO BE ALONE WITH GOD, then your COMMUNION with God will become even more BEAUTIFUL.

TODAY'S PRAYER
"O, God, You know that I care for other people around us but I also realize that I need time to be alone with You only. Enable me to draw ourselves from others, so I can strengthen our relationship with You alone. In the Name of Lord Jesus, I pray. Amen."
