TODAY'S RHEMA
John 11:15 "and I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, that you may believe. Nevertheless let us go to him."
An urgent message sent by Marry and Martha to Jesus, they said that Lazarus was sick. No one doubted the love of Jesus towards three of them, but the bible says that Jesus intentionally stays for two more nights at where He was. When Jesus finally went to Bethany and arrived there, Marry and Martha said: "Lord, if you have been here, my brother would not have died." In that questions implied a question "Lord, why did You not come any sooner? Don't you care?" Lazarus was laid four days in the tomb, God was late.
How many times in our lives do we feel the same? When we are bounded by trouble, God seems to do nothing. Then when things get worse, then we think that everything was over. Just like Marry and Martha, we ask "Where is God when we need Him?". Sometimes we think we know more how and when God should help us. When things didn't go as we wished for, we lose faith in God.
Nevertheless, we should remember. As a believer we are no longer live in what we see or what we feel, but we live by faith. Through the story of the resurrection of Lazarus, Jesus gave a sign to us, that His time is not ours. Moreover, He knows the best way to help us, when we feel like we have forgotten by God, when hope fades away, at that moment God is purifying our faith in Him. He wants us to learn to believe in Him, that whatever happens in our lives, He still hold the control of our lives. In the end, everything that He lets to happen or not will always be good to us. Believe! God is never too late. He is working way more miraculously than we can ever imagine.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, sometimes God lets certain conditions happen in your life so that you can learn to believe in Him. APPLICATION
