TODAY'S RHEMA Isaiah 30:15 This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: "In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it.
"God never promised the cloud will always blue, but He promises He will always be with us. God never promised the road will always be easy, but He promised to give strength." This part of Edward Chen's song reminds us that the journey will not always be smooth sailing. One of the major problems that we often face is with finances. Maybe some of us have experienced being indebted. Someone has an urgent need, but no matter how hard you tried, you cannot meet that. Everything looks frightening and depressing.
Like being locked up in a dark room with no openings, panic overwhelms us and we cannot think clearly so as to find help. Instead, we take the wrong action and we gasp for oxygen. Often during hard times, our reaction is confused and disconcerted. Or we busy complaining, become angry and blame other people. Whereas, there is only one thing that we can and should do- get closer to God.
Get yourself together and seek His face. Ruminate on His word and promises. When we let go of the burdens and lean only on Him, our faith will soar! Then, we allow the Holy Spirit lead and instruct us on how to survive and manage our finances better than before. Believe that God will never forsake us and his power is enough to turn our condition around. He is mighty to save and deliver. Relying upon Him, He will not only raise up help but also teach us how to constantly live under open heavens.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, During hard times, stand firm and get closer to God, because your strength comes in the quietness and trust.
