TODAY'S RHEMA Philippians 3:13 "Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,"
When we want to choose a leader, be it in politics, an organization, residential complex, or maybe in school, prospective leaders will usually hold a campaign. The goal is to canvass for support so as to win. Activities held prior to the ballot contain plans from prospective leaders who promise to do something if they are elected. Visions and plans that sound extraordinary and bring goodness to many people are echoed. However, once they reach a position, how many of their plans and promises are fulfilled?
Before Joseph was appointed to take over power in the land of Egypt (Gen. 41:41), he also mentioned the plans to be carried out during the seven years of abundance and the seven years of famine that the land of Egypt would experience (Genesis 41: 25-36). After having been sworn in by Pharaoh, Joseph could have broken his promise and gone back on what he had said. However, he realized that it all came from God, so he committed to doing it. Finally, Joseph became successful in managing the wealth of Egypt. He succeeded in saving Egypt, even other regions outside Egypt, from destruction from the famine that struck the whole earth. What made Joseph outperform all those around him? The answer is simple, Joseph worked on his plans. He did not fall asleep with the abundance. He kept working and doing his best to make sure all his plans worked. What about us, do we also have plans that we have brought before God but have not received the desired results? Let us renew our commitment to earnestly work on the financial plans we have made with the Lord. The scale of our commitment will determine the favor of God, the blessing of God, and the anointing of God upon us as long as we are under an open heaven.
