TODAY'S RHEMA Galatians 3:29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Robby was born in a poor family and was accustomed to a difficult life. He wanted to become a successful entrepreneur and to be rich. He thought if he became a millionaire and no longer lived in poverty, he would be happy. Robby worked very hard to make his dream come true. Sure enough, at his young age, he could achieve what he had been dreaming of. However, he felt empty because even though his life is now comfortable, he did not feel the happiness he's been longing for. Until finally he knows knew Jesus personally and his life is changed.
Oftentimes, we see only by what could be seen by physical eyes. We admire the successes of famous people, without looking deeper into what they have gone through to reach success. This is similar with Abraham, whose generations were blessed so abundantly. The blessing Abraham and his descendants received didn't come easily but it possible because of the faith and obedience his covenant with God, that in the end, he received all that God promised him (Gen. 12:1-3).
The good news is that through Christ who has become a physical descendant of Abraham, we have been adopted into the family of God. That is why God counts us as Abraham's spiritual descendants. So we also have the same right to receive the blessing of Abraham, both physically and spiritually. True, this is the true wealth we can build in Christ. However, to get it, we also have to do what is our part. As long as we commit ourselves to the covenant made between Abraham and God, we will eventually experience the blessing of Abraham and live under the Open Heaven.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, as you embrace the life in Christ, you can ACCEPT the blessing of ABRAHAM, both physically and spiritually, and BUILD TRUE wealth.
APPLICATIONS 1. What does it mean to build true wealth? 2. Why do you have to have the right to obtain the blessing of Abraham? 3. What commitments can you make to obey the covenant between God and Abraham? Note them!
TODAY'S PRAYER "Thank You, God, that You have allowed me to be a part of Abraham's blessing. I long to commit to the covenant that I am a part of. I believe, the blessing of Abraham awaits me. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
