Rebecca and Ronny are siblings. They are quite successful in their respective fields. Rebecca runs an online shop while Ronny is in real estate. Despite being raised together, both of them have different lifestyles. Rebecca likes to spend her money to satisfy herself with branded and fancy goods while Ronny spends his money on anything he can invest in for the future's sake. For sometimes, everything seems just fine until there was a financial crisis that greatly affected their businesses. Ronny who is used to a simple lifestyle is hardly bothered by the bad economy, especially since he has a handful of investments. In contrast, his sister, because she has no other source of income nor savings, her account gradually depletes.
Each of us surely wants to live in abundant blessing under Open Heaven. But we need to understand that no matter how much the blessings God has released, it will be useless if we can't manage them properly. If we only consume what God gives, or waste it, we are no better than being a leaky container, soon after we receive the blessing it will run out fast without a trace. Over time, we lose that blessing and we can never enjoy the blessings of His true abundance.
In this case, we need to learn from Joseph, who kept some of the harvests in the seven-year of abundance in Egypt (Genesis 41). Proverbs also teach us to imitate ants that store food in the summer (Proverbs 6: 6-8). Because we will not enjoy the spring forever in our lives. We need to prepare for the coming winter. Ask God for wisdom to manage finances wisely, so that you can enjoy the miraculous blessings of God fully. So that we may become even a greater blessing for many and the name of God is glorified. That way, we don't live a wasted life under Open Heaven.
