TODAY'S RHEMA Genesis 50:20 "But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive."
In the world that has fallen into sin, life seems to take the wealthy people's side. With money, almost anything can be bought, including power. Therefore, people who have much wealth are feared. When Jacob died, his ten sons were living in fear because they had harmed Joseph. Because at the same time, Joseph was ruling Egypt; he had much wealth and had power. Joseph could do anything to them. In order to save their lives, they gave themselves as slaves and told him about Jacob. Contrary to their thinking, Joseph freed them and forgave them. Instead of revenge, he ensured the lives of his brethren and his family.
Humanly speaking, no one would blame Joseph if he agreed that his brethren became his slaves. But he understood that there was a reason, more than himself, that God lifted and greatly increased his abundance. He knew that what God desired was to love God and to love people with all his heart (verse 20). His accountability for the blessing God had given him was committing to the plan of God.
We also need to realize that when God gives us breakthrough and opens for us the heaven to bless, it is not only for our benefit. We should reciprocate His goodness by becoming a blessing to others. Regardless of where we are now, whatever job we are doing, whatever blessings God entrust us, we have a task to love God and to love people through what we are doing. Do it as your accountability for the blessing God has given you. God bless you.
