TODAY'S RHEMA
James 1:5 "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you."
Patrick is a very successful businessman who once was born in the poverty. Due to the financial condition, he used to help his family selling goods to earn money. The heavy burden he bore and the gloomy future haunted him had briefly made him want to leave home. However, he decided not to do it because a pastor who lived around his neighborhood hold and told him not to leave home. That pastor also asked him praying for wisdom from God. When he prayed, he realized that God didn't want him to do that. That was the turning point which changed his perspective on life. His heart was no longer bitter. Despite all the difficulties, he passionately lived his life by working hard, praying, and holding hope. He started his business from nothing, but God made him succeed. Eventually, he knew the things he had been through was the process from God so that he could have endurance and perseverance.
We oftentimes are like the figure in the story above, seeking for a way out with our own understanding which leads to nowhere. However, if we have chosen the right act, to pray, learn not to only ask and request. You forget that prayer is a mean of two-way communication with God. When you pray, try to hear God's voice. After telling your problem or asking your request to God, ask Him to give you wisdom into your spirit. Give yourself a silent time to hear God's voice. Seek His purpose and will in each of your problems. By living in Holy Spirit's guidance, God's wisdom will eventually pour down on you. There is such thing as too late for obtaining God's wisdom. Keep believing, when you ask for it, God's wisdom will grow and live in your life.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, one of the ways to obtain God's wisdom is by praying to Him and asking for it.
